Create clipped (shaped) viewports in Google LayOut
In my last post, I shared some Google LayOut images I created. The layout I shared utilized clipped, or a shaped, viewports. A couple of folks wanted to know how these are created and I also felt a quick video might be useful for my students as they begin to explore LayOut. Below is a video that describes the process and also includes a demo of how to modify the style of the viewports to give models a sketch-like appearance. Remember, Google LayOut only comes with the professional (read…pay cash) version of Google SketchUp.
And yeah I hear ya! I could have simply not deleted one of the viewports instead of creating a new one, but I was feeling a tad bit lazy after the recording and didn’t want to rerecord.
Anyone out there using Google SketchUp or LayOut? Let us know by posting to our comments area. Or better yet, share your best SketchUp models!
