We’ve not posted anything in quite some time due to some travel, however, while away we learned of this wonderful web tool called IMified (http://www.imified.com). IMified lets you add a contact to your IM list using. Using this robot contact you can manage an online list, set reminders, manage a todo list and access many Web 2.0 services using your IM client instead of firing up your web browser. You can add the IMified contact using AIM, Yahoo, MSN or my favorite Google Talk/Jabber. Visit the IMified web site to determine the contact name you need to add to the IM service(s) you use. After you add the contact, simply send a message to that contact (we sent the word “help”) and IMified responds by stepping you through the procedures to activate various services. We activated the WordPress blog posting so we could post to the GUOM blog. Other services include posting to Livetype, Movable Type and Blogger blogs, adding items to your Remember the Milk list, adding events to your Google Calendar and managing your Backpack and Basecamp accounts. There are many other services available and it appears as if the list is growing on a regular basis. So fire up that IM software and add IMified to your contact list. We think you’ll find it much more productive than online yapping with people you really have no business yapping with at work anyway.

Note: After making the original post, we came back in and added our tags, the IMified logo and category using our regular blogging tool. Thought we would clean it up a bit since you can only add a single paragraph of text when posting from IMified.
